Patrick Mahomes Displays Impressive Softball Skills in Royals Celebrity Game

Patrick Mahomes is no stranger to diamonds.

The son of a former MLB pitcher was pitching a no-hitter on the mound before the Chiefs quarterback started throwing passes on a football field.

Ahead of Kansas City’s game against the Rockies at Kauffman Stadium on Friday night, Mahomes, a minority owner of the Royals, displayed all of his talents during the Royals’ Big Slick Celebrity Softball Game.

Even though there were several well-known players in the game, the two-time Super Bowl champion made no mistake about his abilities. In the game’s first inning, the 27-year-old hit a home run, chased down a runner who threw behind first base, and no-looked for the out.

The game was won by Mahomes’ team thanks to his outstanding overall play. The game on Friday raised money for Children’s Mercy Hospital to fight childhood cancer.

Since 2010, the event has raised more than $17 million. Along with his teammates Creed Humphrey, Mahomes was also accompanied by well-known people like Dustin Colquitt, Will Forte, Joe Lo Truglio, David Cook, and Al Yankovic.

But Mahomes was unquestionably one of the show’s stars. Who knows, but it seems like a return to the Diamonds would be a logical move if he wanted to give his athletic career another shot.
